This was at a time when I had no business, no company registration, not even a fax. Nothing. I was just a cowboy determined to become a professional consultant!

This wealthy man’s name is Rene Rivkin. I contacted him cold… and won him as a client. Actually, my experience with Rene (and his staff) was quite an interesting adventure. Consulting to Rene’s company was a bit of a shell shock for me. If you live outside of Australia, you probably haven’t heard of Rene.

But let me tell you: this guy is flamboyant! He owns a fleet of cars… luxury paintings and antiques… multiple homes, you name it. He is constantly in the media (lately, because of insider trading charges. Another story).  

At the time I was just a struggling guy, wanting to make a mark. Any mark. And for me to get a meeting with him… and consult to his company… is no mean feat.
