Tarver and I met in San Antonio, Texas at a conference.
We hit it off. Chip had worked with some Internet marketers for whom I have
a lot of respect.
Although
he is a wizard at metrics and Microsoft Excel, and had done some work for me, he
approached me a couple of months later about doing this book chapter for him.
My
chapter is going to be about making first contacts ‘stick.’
By
that I mean contacting someone who is either a celebrity, or is just famous, or
even someone who is not famous, but is a buyer for a big company … and you
need to get through to him or her.
Or
perhaps you want to do a Joint Venture with someone.
How
do you make that first contact with the person? There’s really no one who teaches this - unfortunately -
just like no one teaches parenthood until recently.
There
is no manual for this topic.
So
Chip approached me about three months ago.
He said, “Alex, I want you to write a chapter for my book, and I’d
like it by such-and-such date if that’s possible.”
As
polite and as nice a guy as Chip is, I don’t have time to write a chapter.
I

working on my own content, building a business, and I’m taking care of Number
One. For me, that’s my family.
